Pat Grace is an innovative artist. She loves to explore and implement new ideas in creating art. She learned at a young age that she could do things with a pencil, or a paintbrush, that many could not do. She knew early on that she was blessed with a creative gift to feed her soul. She is a true believer that we are all artists in the process of creating throughout our life’s journey. We can all be empowered to express that artistry in beautiful and unique ways.

Once you schedule, I will reach out to you to schedule two sessions.
Session 1 will be 2 hours long. We will start with going over the safety features and how to appropriately use the tufting gun. Then, we will sketch out your design that will fit in a 20 x 30 inch frame. I recommend simple designs and not anything that requires shading, fine lines, or letters. Coasters or a small rug are favorites of mine to make. You will have the remaining time to learn how to create your design and to practice. During the last 10 minutes you will seal the rug so it does not unravel and it will need to dry for 24 hours before Session 2.
Session 2 will be an hour long. We will add the non-slip side, cut any remaining cloth off, and use a shearer to make sure everything is even to your liking. You will be able to leave with the finished product(s) during this session.
Please bring: medium weight yarn (weight 4) in any colors that you would like to use. You will need 2 balls of each color. It can be bought at Michael’s, Hobby Lobby, or Amazon. The brand Big Twist at Michaels is a favorite of mine. Please avoid bringing any yarn that has texture or glitter since it will get stuck in the machine. You can bring any colors or multi colors.
Please have your hair up and out of your face, have close toed shoes, and are not wearing baggy clothes. This is to keep you safe while using the tufting gun and to make sure nothing gets caught in the machine.
I will provide: the tufting gun, tufting frame, monks cloth, scissors, glue, and non-slip siding.
