Past Events:
The concept was developed by Salvador Dalí and gained popularity in artistic circles during the 1920s as artists of the Surrealist movement used it to create collaborative compositions. The key to Stella’s fundraiser is artistic collaboration, and participation is not limited to Stella’s artists.
On Sept. 16, 6:30-8:00pm the participants will take turns drawing on a sheet of paper, folding it to conceal the drawing and then passing it to the next player, who uses the middle section, folds and passes to the last.
The endeavor will result in full-length portraits, with one person drawing a head, the next drawing a torso and the third drawing the bottom. The catch is you won’t know what was drawn before your turn. The results will be revealed with a corridor exhibit at the opening of October’s “Oddball Show,” and the silent bidding will begin. Winning bids will be announced in November. To register, https://www.stellasartgallery.com/all-classes/p/exquisite-corpse
