Calls for Art
Stella’s Art Gallery invites artists working in all media to submit work for our upcoming exhibitions. Our Calls to Art are designed to encourage creative exploration, thoughtful interpretation, and a broad range of artistic voices. Whether working within a defined theme or responding more intuitively, artists are welcome to engage with each exhibition’s concept in ways that reflect their own practice, process, and perspective.
Upcoming Calls for Art are listed below. Click on each image to view the requirements and download the applications.
Please review the individual exhibition details for themes, requirements, deadlines, and submission guidelines.
Stella’s Art Gallery: The H2O Show - Anything Water
Stella’s Art Gallery invites artists to submit work for The H2O Show – Anything Water, an exhibition in which water must be the primary focus and subject matter of the artwork.
Water is life, movement, memory, and transformation. From oceans and rivers to rain, ice, steam, and reflection, this exhibition welcomes artistic interpretations of water as subject, material, metaphor, or message. Artists are encouraged to consider themes such as ecology, climate, emotion, ritual, abstraction, and the essential role water plays in our natural and human worlds.
All submitted works must feature water as the dominant visual, conceptual, or material element—not as a secondary detail or background component. Interpretations may be representational or abstract, traditional or experimental, provided that water is clearly central to the work.

We invite artists of all mediums to participate in Art Inspired by Northeast Ohio, a juried exhibition celebrating the beauty, culture, and spirit of our region. Eligible inspiration includes anywhere from Erie County in the west to Lake County in the east, and as far south as Tuscarawas County—including all counties in between.
Let your artwork tell the story of the places that shape us!
