Upcycled Jewelry Making

Students will explore unusual materials including found plastics and metals to Upcycle into accessories. They will navigate hand tools, such as needle nose pliers, wire cutters and wire to master durable pieces that can withstand handling and wear.

Ages 14 through Senior Adult

Beginners welcome!

Supplies will be provided: Linda Zolten Wood provides jewelry findings, pliers, wire, beads etc for participants to make approx. 2 pair earrings, bracelet and or necklace each per class, and will help with finish pliers work as needed.

Cleveland Institute of Art graduate Zolten-Wood has 25+ years experience teaching a diverse range of students. She has taught at Lakeland Community College, Center for the Arts Inspired Learning, CIA Continuing Education, Fairmount Center for the Arts and created the Collinwood Painted Rain Barrel Project.
