This is a great beginner class on assemblage. You will learn how to work with found objects, which adhesives to use, and how to mix them with other artforms. You will also learn some quillish- an adaption of quilling. All supplies will be provided by the instructor. Teens and Adults welcome.
Momagami is a Japanese process that paper into “fabric”. This fabric can be more manipulated than plain paper and is less fragile when sewn. Learn how to make them, which additives work best for which papers, and use them as layers in your art journal or collages. All supplies are provided by the instructor but feel free to bring anything of your own that you may want to include. Teens and adults welcome.
Upcycle old book pages and baubles into fantasy flowers that you can then add into assemblage work, household decorations, or just into your favorite vase. You will learn to wire, tape, color, and add foliage if you wish. All supplies will be provided but feel free to bring a special book or bauble along with you to use. Teens and adults welcome.

We will be using many different mixed media techniques to create thee and we will have fun while we’re doing it. . All supplies will be provided by the instructor. Learn how to make mini pieces of art using mixed media techniques on rescued playing cards. These are fun to do and also give you the opportunity to play with ideas on a small scale before launching into a larger piece. All supplies will be provided. Each student will leave with up to 6 cards (or as many as you can complete). Open to teenagers and adults.

Science backs the benefits of this and likens the results to that of meditation. This class will give you a chance to slow down and give yourself an hour of self-care. Whether you enjoy upcycling or you are just looking to create something whimsical these paper dolls could scratch your itch. These jointed dolls are made of retired playing cards and can be used as art, as puppets, or just something fun to have around. All materials will be provided by the instructor and students will go home with two complete paper dolls. Teens and Adults welcome.
Do you enjoy poetry but aren’t confident in writing it yourself? Maybe you can be a poet but didn’t know it! Learn to peruse text in an intuitive way, create a poem, and decorate around the words. Or even black out the entire background! All supplies will be provided by the instructor. Teens and Adults welcome.
Envelope journals are a fun and easy way to make an art journal that can shape shift into a small scrapbook, a beautiful organization system, or gift wrap alternative for those boring gift cards. Each student will be making a book-style journal as well as an accordion journal and a folio, as well as getting an intro to mixed media 101. All supplies will be provided by instructor. Adults and teens are welcome.

Tag Journals are great alternative to large art journal. If you are strapped for time, this is a great way to start small. It can accommodate drawing, painting, or mixed media. It can also be used for affirmations, goal keeping, or collecting memorable quotes. Students will leave with as many tags as they can complete during class. All supplies will be provided.
