Linda Zolten Wood

Mediums: painting, model making

Linda Zolten Wood is a self-employed artist, bringing arts and sustainability together to create solutions to environmental waste in our changing climate.

She earned her BFA from CIA and began as a set painter, properties artist and backstage manager at Cain Park Summer Theater and prop artisan at The Cleveland Play House.
Zolten Wood has painted colorful murals all over Northeast Ohio, and shares joyful graphic artwork as a way to celebrate the positive energy through representation and diversity.

Her Upcycled Workshops are influenced by her travels in India, which practices a national ethic of 'no waste', where virtually everything is repaired or re-used in some way: Conservation is a rich part of their culture.
Zolten Wood created The Collinwood Painted Rain Barrel Project and Zolten Wood Design, which has received Neighborhood Connections and Cuyahoga Arts and Culture grants to serve Greater Cleveland for students and Senior Citizens.

Linda was honored to be a recipient of the ‘Unsung Hero and Change Maker In Cleveland’ Awards, at the 35th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Ceremony in 2020, and one of the most significant awards she received was Cleveland Mayor Jackson's ‘Sustainable Hero Champion’ Award, at the 2014 Sustainability Summit.
