Devotions - or Puja, is made daily at the edge of the Ganges River, considered Life Giving, when I visited India in the 1980’s, and probably still today. After college I spent a Summer with a student group from all over the world learning about different cultures touring India, and was humbled by the beauty and complexity of the people I met. Profoundly changed by the experience, I no longer dress in muted tones, figuring if they’re allowed to live in vivid colors, then I would too.
