Pinch Pot Project: Sphere Shakers with Christine

Make 1 Sphere Rhythm Shaker using 2 pinch pots.

Prerequisite: Beginning pinch pot class or recent pinch pot making experience.

Session 1:

Create a Sphere Rhythm Shaker from 2 pinch pots of the same size
Using shaping and attaching skills
Practicing the use of hand tools
You will have the opportunity to create with texture and pattern or stamps.

Session 2:

Glazing with low fire glazes & or underglazes.

Come by yourself, or with a friend, or family

Christine Siarka, has worked in clay off and on for 15 years, almost exclusively hand building. She is currently creating luminarias and pinch pots for vases, planters and prayer bowls, in addition to other media.

This method is very centering, grounding and fun. Her work has been shown in shows across the country over the past 30 plus years.

She has taught both adults and young people for over 20 years, in Ohio and Texas. She loves being a part of her students’ creative process.

It brings much joy and peace.
