Featured Teacher: Michelle Farnworth

Michelle Farnworth has been interested in art for as long as she can remember. That early curiosity eventually grew into a teaching practice after encouragement from Carol Pitts, one of the gallery’s owners.

Michelle teaches acrylic pouring and painting, and her classes focus on making the creative process feel accessible rather than intimidating.

What she enjoys most about teaching is sharing how simple the process can be and helping students realize that creativity doesn’t have to be complicated or difficult.

She hopes her classes inspire students to explore their own creative energy and feel confident expressing it in their own way. Michelle believes that everyone is creative in some form, and her goal is to help students see that in themselves.

Teaching also feeds back into Michelle’s own work. She often finds inspiration in her students’ ideas and approaches, which encourage her to think differently and try new things in her own practice.

Michelle’s classes are welcoming, encouraging, and focused on helping people enjoy the process of making art.
