Carol Agnew
Carol Agnew is an award-winning artist and educator. Born and raised in Manhattan Beach, California, her love for the outdoors motivated her to earn a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies at Hiram College—a degree that continues to shape her artistic perspective by connecting people with the natural world. A stay-at-home mother who transformed her passion into a profession, she founded a home studio specializing in custom pencil portraits, commissioned porcelain tile backsplashes, and nature-inspired murals—all while continuously exploring the diverse depths of watercolor, acrylic, and oil.
An enthusiastic instructor, Carol has led everything from kayak journaling expeditions to private painting workshops. During the COVID era, she served as the resident “Nature Lady” for Crestwood Schools, guiding students to study and illustrate the outdoors. Now, a proud member of Stella’s Art Gallery, she has the opportunity to develop her love for oil painting, while continuing to give back through community-focused art education. When she’s not at Stella’s, you might find her either in her studio, out on the water, or—quite likely— savoring a smooth glass of wine.
