Encaustic Printmaking & Journaling Angela Simone May 7th 3-5pm
No experience required. Students will alternate between encaustic printmaking and prompted color journaling. Students will learn the basics of encaustic. Encaustic wax involves heating a pigmented wax medium on a hot plate and adding a variety of paper to create a print. Students will alternate between being stationed at the hot plate and seated for writing. Students will be provided with color journaling prompts related to their encaustic print. Students will go home with prints the same day.
Encaustic supplies included. Journals available for purchase at the Gallery day of class or bring your own journal. Loose leaf paper available upon request.
4 students max per class, 16 and older.

About the Artist
Angela (Angie) Simone is a Visual Mixed Media and Instructional Artist at Stella’s Art Gallery in Willoughby, Ohio. She is the Owner and Artistic Director of Ethereal Woman Studio. She enjoys using non-traditional tools and mediums to create her abstract and thoughtful creations. She has been showing and selling artwork in juried gallery settings throughout Northeast Ohio for almost a decade. She feels grateful to be with you, and your friends, and family, at her upcoming 2024 encaustic classes. She appreciates your support, and wants you to remember
