Tile: Mosaic Guitar "Let It Be" by Jodi Baldacci
Description: Original mosaic on an actual acoustic guitar by artist Jodi Baldacci
Let It Be most commonly refers to the Beatles song and album.
Paul McCartney wrote this song inspired by his mother, Mary, who died when he was 14, hence the reference to "Mother Mary". Let It Be made an appropriate statement about leaving problems behind and moving on in life since this was the twelfth and final studio album by the English rock band. Released 50 yrs ago on May 8th, 1970. Rehearsals began Jan 1969 as part of a documentary which lead to the impromptu concert on the rooftop of Apple Studio Jan 30th. LOVED the spontaneity and artist's interplay in that concert!
