Alebrijes, like those found in the movie, Coco!
Using air dry clay and acrylic paint, kids 8 & up will create their own Alebrijes. Alebrijes are colorful Mexican folk art sculptures of fantastical creatures. We will use images of these sculptures to inspire you in creating a 2D painting. Alebrijes are believed to be spirit guides. They are unique in appearance and detailed with patterns, stripes, shapes, and facial expressions. You will be able to incorporate your personal characteristics/traits in the creation of your own Alebrijes.
Pack a lunch! We will watch Pixar's Animation, Coco during our break!
