2-Session Ongoing Clay: Pinch Pots with Christine Siarka

Session 1:

Create two pinch pots while learning—or refining—pinch-pot techniques. This session focuses primarily on working with your hands and clay, with tools used as needed. Optional stamp designs will be available.

Session 2:

Glaze your finished pieces to make them both glossy and functional.

This course is:

  • Ideal for beginners looking to explore hand-building and gain a feel for working with clay
  • Perfect for returning students who wish to refine their skills and explore the beauty and details of the pinch technique
  • An opportunity to experience how clay subtly moves and responds when shaped by hand
  • A relaxing, grounding way to slow down and reconnect

Come by yourself, or bring a friend or family member—everyone is welcome.

Minimum 3 students, max. 5 students

About the instructor: Christine Siarka, has worked in clay off and on for

about 15 years, almost exclusively hand building. She is currently a Stella’s Art

Gallery member, creating luminarias & pinch pots for vases, planters and

prayer bowls, in addition to other media. This method is very centering,

grounding and fun. She has taught both adults and young people for over 20

years, in Ohio and Texas. She loves being a part of her students’ creative

process. It brings much joy and peace.

Come join us in the clay studio. Dress for mess.
