Meet the Instructor: Bill Ransom
Bill Ransom is an internationally renowned professional drummer, percussionist, and educator with a passion for rhythm and community. Bill has worked extensively with Grammy nominated and Grammy award winning artists and is a professor of percussion at Cleveland State University. Bill brings decades of experience performing, teaching, and inspiring musicians of all ages and backgrounds.
Known for his dynamic style and deep musicality, Bill has performed with a wide range of artists across jazz, funk, rock, and world music genres. His teaching approach blends strong fundamentals with creative exploration, making music fun, accessible, and engaging for everyone—from first-time drummers to seasoned players.
With a belief that rhythm can unite and uplift souls, Bill leads this bucket drumming class with energy, patience, and a genuine love for sharing the joy of percussion.
