“Life as a Part-time Artist”, will explore the following:
- A presentation of what inspired this course
- A handout, exploring the survey questions below. These questions will
get you on your way to discovering what your Part-time Artist is like.
- Recognizing the gifts and challenges being a part-time artist has to offer.
Survey questions:
Define your personal” being a part-time artist”
What is the best gift of being a part-time artist?
What is the biggest challenge of being a part time artist?
We will begin with introductions & background.
Discuss any questions about the survey points.
Making notes in response to the 3 survey questions.
Explore an interactive activity demonstrating the challenges.
Discuss our responses looking for similarities & possible insights, as we listen to others part-time stories.
When: Saturday May 24th 11-12:30, class size max 10

About the instructor:
Christine has been a practicing part-time artist , in
various ways for over 30 years. Has taught a variety of age students while
experiencing great joy witnessing her students’ creative ah ha moments and
problem solving.
Her work is a way to connect with life and especially Spirit. It is a way to be
grounded and make sense of the world she experiences. Her most recent
solo show was in 2019, at the Fairmount Center of the Arts.
The show was titled Transformation of a Heart.
She is a member artist at Stella’s Art Gallery, since February 2021. She is
currently working in mixed media, ceramic luminarias and mandalas.
Her art life often overflows into other parts of her life, as a work of art in
progress.
