Round Two! Famous Artist Study with Mrs. mARTin November 6, 13, 20th 10-11am
We will look closely at some new famous artists and their masterpieces and
discuss what we know about the elements and principles of design. Students will then
create their own work of art in the style of the acclaimed artist. We will learn about Henri Matisse, and Claude Monet among many other famous artists. Listening, observing, following directions, and building social emotional skills will be promoted. Dress for a mess and bring a water bottle!
About the Artist
Barbara Martin is a Cleveland-based artist whose work is frequently shown in galleries
throughout the state. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (BFA) in painting and a
master’s degree in education (MEd). Barbara taught in the Centerville City School
district for 27 years and still enjoys making art with youngsters.
