This is a personal introduction into altered art and assemblage. These prayer boxes are not specific to a religion. They are for anyone who sends out prayers and/or good energy. The way they work is that you write down your prayer requests and place in the box. Then you can hold the box and focus on your prayers that are in there and send love and devotion. The tin fits easily in your hand and can be held while you are praying.
Anna Weisend is a multi-media assemblage artist who works in collaboration with her daughter. She has been teaching for over 20 years and been praying her whole life.
