Homeschool Health and Wellness with Barbara Wallace September 15, 22, 29, October 6th 11-11:40
Join us at Stella's for a Homeschool Health and Wellness Class. During these 4 weeks students (8 years and older) will experience 20 minutes of movement to build physical activity and 20 minutes of learning healthy dietary habits. Please wear tennis shoes and comfortable clothes to allow light movement.
Week One: Defining traffic light eating: knowing what foods to eat or try to avoid.
Week Two: Picking the right grow foods and how they help the body.
Week Three: Eating the right carbohydrates along with defining & implementing healthy habits.
Week Four: Brainy breakfasts and recipe reboots.
About the Instructor:
My name is Barbara Wallace. I am a certified Health Coach through the Dr. William Sears Wellness Institute and Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise. I found my passion for fitness at a very young age and have never looked back. I was given the wonderful opportunity by the Painesville YMCA to start teaching fitness class at the age of 17. I am currently still employed there. In addition, I am currently working with personal training clients in their homes. My interest in whole body health and nutrition did not start until I had my children. There are so many food choices that we face today. I found it necessary to educate myself and them my family on the importance of how food effects are health. My mission is to educate and provide support for all those who are looking to make a change in their health goals.
